Hi All, my main vines are now about 4 ft long, at which point should I start burying? I would say the few secondary's I have are about 2ft long.

The sooner the better to stimulate more roots and better growth all around.
Be carefull not to bury at where the flowers are going to emerge from as you might not get as many flowers as you would like to pollinate with. I usually bury the vines once the flower stems are long enough to still be sticking out.
Dig trenches in front of your vines for them to grow in and then just push the soil over top of them as they grow along the trench...sure makes it alot easier.

jeremy, Bury everything except where the flowers are growing. Be careful not to bury the vine tips or your new growth will stop. Also don't bury them too deep. this can cause them to rot. they need to be able to dry out between waterings. the added bonus is that this not only encourages root growth but helps keep SVB's at bay.
