can i plant two plants side by side{2"}in my patch?
the plants right now are in a pot and the roots are all grown together.

ideally, no, these things grow huge root systems,and consume huge amounts of water and nutrients, some people grow them 4' apart, some closer than that, I would grow them as far apart as you have room
