So my newly fenced garden has been compromised and I got up to my big pumpkin plant (2 seed leaves, 2 new leaves) had one of each torn off and left on the ground. It survived almost a week on its own with no fence and not bothered, now the second fenced night it has been attacked. :(
I thought about caging it but I doubt I'll be able to cage something this big. I also noticed the bottoms of my tomato plants have been bitten off but the kohlrabi, radishes, lettuce, and melons haven't been touched. Any ideas?

I don't think it could be deer because our entire back yard is fenced with a 6 foot privacy fence. It's just low to the ground, the bottom of the tomato plants, the pumpkin plant, but the other tender plants like the radishes haven't been touched.

Why don't you try picking up a container of Coyote Urine? I have had problems with squirrels, rabbits, and raccoons in the past. This seems to work for me. Watch, the second I type this some dumb animal with start munching on my dirt babies.

Tracks will tell you what animal. Rake out a perimeter in the dirt so you can see the tracks. Hav-a-heart trap (large) has been a very good investment for me. Bait it with apple and meat so it attract woodchucks, rabbits, raccoon, etc. Deer, maybe a sensor light will work for you.
