I'm from Northern Indiana and growing giant pumpkins for the first time this year and am completely lost about what to do to make them grow large. I have already started them in peat pots (2 seeds per pot) but have no idea what to do next. If anyone could give me any information that would be great.

This site has many great tips and suggestions. But for a quick and good reference go to Beachy seeds.com. Tom is a good grower in Indiana also and has a good tutorial on how to get started..check it out.

Don Langevin's books, "How to Grow Giant Pumpkins" volume's II and III are a wealth of information also.

Stick around here, and read, read, read....then ask every (dumb) question you can think of. Visit chat, and ask those same questions....lots of helpful folks around. On main board of this site is a link to many helpful "How To" articles!!! Welcome to the insanity. Peace, Wayne

Why hasn't anyone mentioned that two seeds per pot is one too many? What type of seeds you have? Retail or ones with quality genetics? If you need seeds email me at dpsnoopy@earthlink.net. I think there's a couple of growers in Woodburn IN. that may be able too. Terry
