First off, let me thanks all here who have helped me. Last year (my first) it took something like 15 days for a few out of many generic store bought seeds to germinate. This year i germinated 5 out of 5 in 3 to 4 days using Joel Hollands method of using a cooler with a jug of warm water. Now the question. I have just put them in 1 gallon pots. Should i simply keep them moist until they go into the ground or should i add something like fish/seaweed or something else to get them growing? The plants are also very short and stocky so far which, from what i have read, is good.
Thanks again Dave

Dave I use half strength kelp once in the pots and try and get them in real sun at the same time. If that's not possible for some reason, then 16 hours under the lights at 2" max from the bulbs, 8 hours off for the rest they seem to need.
