I have had my pumpkin plant in the ground for 5 days, and its growing well. But last night we had a storm roll thru with heavy winds. One of the main leafs(the first two that form) has broken, and in drooping. Will this kill the plant? Or can I just trim it off? Thanks for any help, I`m new at this and am just growing for practice this year.
Next year I will be giving it a serious go!

This should not kill the plant at all. If the leaf is still attached and green I would leave it there. If it is wilting away, go ahead and remove it. These plants are quite hardy and it probably won't even phase it.

Gonna have to take care of it with some wind breaks and stakes at the early stage, this is where if the plant snaps in half quite easily. If it's standing up and spindly mound some dirt around it for support. Plenty more to follow!! You read the posts and have been warned growing AG's may be habit forming in the least!
