I just found this site and I'm sure I'll be asking a lot more questions, but this is the one that's been bugging me the most. How do you pick up a giant pumpkin to go get it weighed? I'll have access to a front end loader or a back hoe, but how do you sling it? I seen that they sell heavy duty tarps, but do I get them when the pumpkin is small and put it under while it's growing? Or can I use some nylon straps and saddle them around the fruit and use whatever equipment to pick them up with?
