how many plants can I get in this area 2? how long will the vines run? should I run each plant out from oposite ends

With 1350 sq. ft. I believe that you can easily put in 2 plants. If you put them in back-to-back you would be able to have 15 foot secondaries on each side and allow the main to go up to or over 20' each.
The only disadvantage of doing it that way, is if you cannot set fruit early enough. It is possible to have 2 nice big plants as long as you are lucky enough to set your fruit on the main at from 10-14' out.

How about if I plant them at each end of the 45' distance growing both towards the center?

Side by side = 30 feet long and 22.5 feet wide.

That is also a good size patch to start plants at opposite ends and grow in a flag pattern. You can use every inch of your patch by on your longest ends and opposite corners.
