what would be a problem with growing more than one plant in a hill is this possible it would it take away nutrients from just one plant

ok..........food for thought here......i was turning up soil to cut off the around one of my AG plants.......6' away and i could see the roots from the stump out that far. There for why would you even think of planting more than one plant in a hill or with-in 5 or 6 feet from each other. Some folks will plant 2 plants and let them grow opposing each other (aka) grow away from each other, but will give them space between. Around feet or so between them. grow em big matt

Doug, Go back into the "New Growers Forum" and scroll down to the topic titled "Planting back to back". I think it is like the 15th post from the top. Your question is discussed quite a bit in that post. I think you will find some good answers there.

If I am planting back to back, I normally make the hill 4x5 gives each plant a little more room. just remember to tag each plant with the correct name. other wise you may run into the nagging question, "What plant is this?"
