Ok here's the deal. I have all the fresh and I mean fresh manure I can handle. It comes from a feedlot down the road. How "aged" do I want it to be before tilling it in, in the spring? Should I have them bring it down now, and just let it sit in my yard for a few months? Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

Sitting, for three months, would still yeild very hot stuff for Spring usage. Only aged manure, of several years time should be used, in the Spring.

Another neighbor has some that is almost "dusty". Is that too aged, or would that be good?

I think any manure needs to be at least one year old before mixing it in your soil. Ask your neighbor how old the manure is.

a previous world record holder, from Pa suggest using fresh cow manure in the fall asap after cleaning the patch out and tilling in before the smell leaves the manure. If adding in spring use at least year old or older.

I was told today to only use treated manure to make sure all the salt is out of it or it will kill everything, I had planned on getting a load today then decided against it since the dairy farm just keeps it in a pile all winter. where does one get processed truck loads then?

That's news to me. Been a working the soil for over fifty years. Never heard a claim or advertisement for treated manure. Sounds to me like someone has something else to sell.

Maybe using wet, fresh manure worsens our already alkaline soil here in the desert, a friend lost his entire yard, grass, trees, bushes using a fresh load from a dairy, the local nursery told him to never use anything but processed, treated manure, which means to me mo money! I will just use bags of steer manure from Lowes I guess,
