Hey all. I'm using 20-20-20 Miracle grow once a week on my plants. Watering each vine trunk with about a gallon, then the entire vine system with another 1/2 gallon or so. My question is can I tighten this up to every other day or so you think without hurting the plants? I AM watering daily, just using the MG weekly. Ground conditions were just plain old dirt until about 2 weeks ago, when I worked in about 25 bags of cow manure/compost under the vines and buried the stumps and rooted vines with dirt/manure/compost mixture.

Also, not using any "numbered" seeds. Only ones I'm worried about are 9 promising looking Weeks Seeds plants; North Carolina Giants. Plants look great so far, but would like to push them some. First females poised to bloom about 6 feet out.
thnx!

I'm using the same thing.....20-20-20...but only once a week. I'm also sprinkling bone meal around each mound once a week for the extra nitro 'till I get a pumpkin set, then i'll switch to 0-0-45, and go back 15-30-15 MG once a week.
I personally dont like to fertilize more than once a week tho.....i'm afraid i'll burn the plants up, ya know?
I also wont set a pumpkin any closer than 10ft to the stump...to make sure there's enough play in the vine to let the pumpkin grow, and not snap the stem.
I do water daily for 30 minutes 2 times a day with a mister too...so far, so good!
Just my 2 cents....I know others do it different ways, and fertilize with fish emulsion, and kelp...haven't done any of that yet myself. ( actually cant find any close by, without ordering it)

now this is a very late reply...but I would use at least 5 gallons per plant maybe 10...they will love you for it.
