I went out this morning and lo and behold, 7 males open..but...2 primary females won't be open until probably Monday morning. I'm not sure there will be any open, fresh males then, so I have male blossoms tied closed in bags in the freezer and I have scraped pollen into sealed tubs and put them in the fridge. Which in your opinion is the best way to preserve pollen, just in case you don't have fresh males on 'P'-day. I've searched the archives but I just wanted to hear what you guys all thought.

placed a male flower in the freezer overnite to be sure I had at least one on hand next morning. Left it to thaw on top of my rain barrel, not ten minutes, and it was pretty soggy by then. Made the pollen appear pretty clumpy...just a heads up to keep an eye on it. Luckily a couple othe males arrived on time...whew! Good luck.

Males last in a refridgerator for a few days.
