All of my leaves are wilting during the day, big time. Any remedy other than misting, which I cannot do practically this season? I'm going to try and post a picture to my diary of this condition in the next couple of days. Temps have been near 100 all week, but it happens anytime temp is in 90's.

If you read the posts some of the plants are heat tolerant but not much you can do over a hundred...

Bury the vines to encourage development of the tap roots. Keep the plant well watered and possibly try mulching to retain moisture. The downside to mulching is that it provides a hiding place for bugs, and for southern growers may increase your chances of molds/mildew. Then again, you need to stop the wilting if you wnat to grow a giant.

try some shade cloth along with watering as much as possible and burying the vines as bruiser said there are +'s and -'s to mulching but a wilting plant isn't a growing plant

I always mulch and this year I've been using cheesecloth and remay tents over the ends of the primary and secondaries to keep the leaf burn to a minimum...and it's working great. The whole plant wilts a little over 90*F, but the fried leaves are now a thing of the past! Good luck!

To clarify...that's cheese cloth, remay, or whatever works to shade the tender new growth. Seems like the 4-8" leaves are the ones that burn up, not the tips of the vine or the older growth leaves !

It could be do to fertilizer. If too much nitrogen is applied, wilting can occur, but if you are in the fruit stage, then you should definitely apply more potassium!!
