Subject: vine splitting

Oh no! about 4 of my vines have split or cracked! That hasn't seemed to stop them from growing through. Will they be ok? I don't see any signs of the vines dieing. We did have three days of blustery weather. Could that have contributed to the vines splitting? I thought about that, but was not sure.

JTH. Wind blocks and hold them down to the ground. I believe they call it windmilling where the vine starts flapping in the the gusts. Will twist them all up. Use some plastic hangers around the vine until the roots are really set in.
