Guys help me out on this. I have 2 Deary 466 AG's growing, but no flowers. Main vine length is 10-12ft, leaves and vine okay, watered and feed just like the other AG's I'm growing. Here's the problem, both 466's have been aborting all male and female flowers except one female flower that opened and 2 lobes of 5 were seeds. The male flower stalks only grow 1 to 1-1/2 inches and then die. The companion AG next to it(Handy 1157) looks beautiful and grows male flowers a foot tall on the stalk and when opened flowers are 6 to 7 inches wide.
The 466's are not growing too fast, actually one has almost stopped growing alltogether. Is this a genetic problem? Thanks in advance. 'stein

if other plants in the same area under the same conditions are doing fine- then i say that yes you have a genetic problem. are the flowers mutants ? ie- show signs of male and female ? but the fact that one plant has essentially stopped growing sounds like a stressed plant do to over fert., heat, to much or not enough water or something environmrntal like that. and mutants usually continue to grow.
If it were me - and if you have the space i'd let them grow to see if how they do- try chaning what you are doing. sorry i know that's not much help.

I have a 466 growing with similar results. I grew this one as a pollinator, However I haven't had any flowers yet. And I've already pollinated (3) females. This Plant took a hit early spring with the frost...so I had attributed it's growth to bad weather but maybe it's genetics...Chris

I also have problems with the Deary. The vines stopped from splitting and the splits look closed with no additional help, but the new secondaries still go straight up in the air. This plant doesent´t look I can arrange it to grow in tree style. I have flowers both male and female and very strong leaves, but there should be more to have a regular plant... Chris, how is your Eisenhaur plant doing? Read you also have it like me and wes@calif. We both had (have?) still a double vine problems.

The Eisenhaur has remained flat and wide. It looks like it wants to double but hasn't branched out yet.
