I have a nice female bud with a good size bulb under it but it's only 4 ft or so from the base of the primary vine. My question is do I cull this female bud so the vine can continue to concentrate on growing or do I let it go? My concern is there are several males near opening right at the base and I don't want natural pollination to stunt my vine growth. There are a few other female blossoms showing up along both plants so I'm fairly confident more will follow out closer to the 10 foot mark in a couple weeks.

it's my opinion to pollinate the flowers no matter where they are it's easier to cull unwanted fruit than to need one and not have it

I agree too. The 881 Dill was grown about 4' from the stump, at least that's what i heard. Tom
