Hi there. I'm not really new here, but new to Wisconsin. We left Barnesville, Ohio three weeks ago and am cussing and discusted that my beauties had to be left behind in the patch. :( To make matters worse, somewhere in the move, my seed collection came up missing.
I'm in St. Croix county and am looking for weigh-offs for next year. Also any info that is specific to growing in this zone. (Which is it again? I'm used to 6b.) Anything like frost dates, disease problems, ect.
If anyone has seed to share, especially you guys & gals back in the Buckeye State, I would be thrilled if you could spare a couple. Just click my name and drop me a line.
THANKS!, Faith :)

Welcome to the "Badgerland" Faith, you're in one of the most beautiful parts of the state. Also close to some of the more experienced growers. Here's a post on the weighoff in Stillwater next month, would be a great place to meet them and get some first hand info.

I hope to make the trip over myself these folks have been very helpful to me this first year.
Got here in time for preping a new patch at least, too bad you had to leave some on the vine, but sometimes real life hits a pumpkin grower at the wrong time,,,lol.
I'm sure you'll get some responses to this post from these folks,,,I'll have some seeds when the season is done watch for my post on the seed exchange threads and in my diary.

Hello All! Thank you for the warm welcome! I am finding that Badgers are some of the friendliest folk on the planet! Even my three teenagers think so.
I definatly plan on making it to Stillwater for the weigh-off! I've been (mostly lurking) on the boards for a couple years and never realized that you all were up here. Hope to meet some of you. :)
I'd left instruction with a grower in Barnesville to take pictures of the patch and weigh-in the biggest for me.
Good news is I found part of my seeds in grandma's teapot tonight! Not the best I had, but none the less seeds!! So...it looks like the pumpkin gods are still smiling on me!
