I know this is funny to some people (and it should be) but i finally got one big enough to actually start estimating the weight with the OTT method. So far a whopping 21 lbs!!!!! I am happy and my boys are really excited. For a while it looked like my first year was going to be a total "learning experience" with no fruit. Who knows, i may hit 30 lbs by the end of October :) . Actually it gained 3.5 inches circ in the last day and a half.
Yep, while guys are blowing out 1000 lbers, i am babying dink punkins. look out weigh offs!!!!!

Holy cow herbie!! NICE!!! yeah it is fun. I have limited space, not all day sun, etc, but i think i can get a much bigger one next year from what i have learned this summer. Not going for a record but, as my wife says, "what are you going to do with a pumpkin you cant pick up". My answer, "who cares!!!!!, it would be cool!". :)

Alright DaveP... I am just about to enter the charts with a Wyatt's Wonder... 38" circ. as of yesterday!!! It is orange and on a vine, so I am gonna call it a pumpkin.

The last of my AG's rotted yesterday, so I removed it. I do have one more about baseball sized.

All told, I pollinated 2 Big Maxes Last week and an AG to go aonlg with my 3 Wyatts (2 volleyball and the 38" circ).

Good first year to learn. At least in California we can grow well into October, if needed.
