How and where do you send soil for a soil test? is there a certain method of gathering the soil (IE: depth,location etc)? How much is needed for a complete test. I know this may be a bit early but it crossed my mind.

the proper way is with a stainless coring tool, in various places in your patch, look on the web for "soil testing"
