Hi guys. After reading this lovely message board for a week it's a relief to finally been able to post something. (Problems with registrating, but thats another story).
Anyway. A few weeks ago me and a few mates decided to have a competition next year - about who can grow the largest pumpkin. At that point I didn't know much about them. I figured with luck it could grow to around 100 lb.
But after surfing the net and reading, I thought my eyes would fall out - and I got obsessed. Now I can hardly think of anything else but pumpkins. Starts to bugger my wife a little but so far she just thinks I'm weird in a funny sort of way.
Problem is I live in northern Sweden, in a town called Umeå - and I'm not sure if anyone ever tried growing an AG here. I bought some store bought seeds that I plan to experiment with throughout winter. I got two one week old curbita maxima out in the garden and yesterday my first AG sprouted in the 4 inch pot. I weirdly enough managed to find a polytunnel imported from England in a small garden store a few miles out of town - for half the price, heh.
I would be very interested to try some of your seeds up here in the north. But as seed season is some months away I'm sure we will figure something out.
Posted this so you would know who I am when I start terrorizing the boards with questions.
Happy growing!

I can send you some good seeds for next year if you need any. Send me your address and I'll get them to you in the fall (I'll try not to forget).
Sweden-Gustavsson and Eaglewood are two great growers from Sweden on this site as you might have noticed. Good to contact them for information.
And wow, your English is excellent!

Nah, English is a difficult language - you should see me write in Swedish :) It has some advantages to work as a sports writer I think, heh.
I'll send you my adress and keep my fingers crossed you remember me:)
