What is meant by a genetics plant, that I see on some diaries??

A genetics Plant is one that is being used to produce a Pumpkin/Squash just for a specific genetic cross. The eventual weight of the Fruit is not neccessarily an importance as the resulting Seeds from that cross is the important factor.

I'd like to also add the pollen plant, which I also have to use. What I do is let the plant grow somewhere and use it to pollinate another plant, then I pull the whole plant :(
