Well, my first female opened this morning and it had like 9 or 10 lobes. Wierd. What does that mean? Learned my first lesson on pollinating too. Make sure you have good males to pollinate. Mine looked used. I think i got some pollen into the female though. I saw some "dust" hanging around the lobes afterwards. I guess i am going to have to try and store some males in the fridge like i read on another post.

Each lobe has two parts so you probably had a 5 lober.

chances are the males looked used because they had already opened and reclosed. that should be considered an open pollination if that is the case. not a big deal but cutting them before they open as stated from the other post is a good practice. good luck i hope it takes for you.

Brad, you are probably right. We will see if it took though. Some other females dont seem to be growing. They seem to be staying at around marble size. Any ideas on how to get them to grow or is that normal? Steve, They had opened and closed so that is probably the case.
