Lobsta, I remember reading here on BP that plants require a little down time or darkness to metabolize or just plain rest. My backup plants are still inside under growlights, and i turn them off at nite and back on first thing in the A.M. Hope this helps. By the way, they're looking as good as the first team outdoors in the hoophouse, but they're getting root bound in their gallon size pots !

I've been leaving a light on to combat this ridiculous Maine weather but have also been covering 'the guys' with buckets to ensure protection from the frost. Just curious lobsta what your temp in the hoop house is at night..I'm going to move the digital thermometer out there this weekend so I can record lows and highs.

The ends of my mini greenhouse are on hinges and are closed up at night, inside each is a small ceramic heater with a thermostat,i leave it between 75-80 and thats what the temp is at night inside, also have heat lamp and shop light.the houses are covered at night with a tarp,in the morning i uncover and open ends
