Depends what you mean: Big, all season, walk in, superinsulated, structurealy sound, permanent greenhouse = $mucho bucks$ for a kit or installation, and if you build and design it yourself, it just depends on how much you want to invest in it (plastic/glazing, heaters, vents). Something to get your seedlings through May, and to be disassembled later: Very manageable. There are loads of designs and they all borrow something from eachother. I built a 4' X 8' rectanle out of 2X3's (I would use 2X4's next time), with screws at the corners (I would use plywood triangles with screws next time). I drilled 4 large holes on each 8' side. I put a 10' grey wire conduit in each hole and bent it to the hole accross from it. I drilled a hole at the base of each conduit through the 2X3 and the conduit and slid in a small bolt. I put a 1X2 (8' long) at the top ant duct taped it there. You can't bolt it because the holes weaken the conduit and it breaks. I cut 6 mil plastic (1 of 8'X10', 2 of 4'X4' per house) and held it down with those big black binder clips for offices (6 on each end of each house, 12 total). With a 5$ space heater for the first two weeks, the sun for the rest, they stay toasty. Later in the season, remove the plastic and put on a tarp for a shade structure (for the first couple weeks). Josh, I've used this set up for 3 years and it cost less an $20 each to make. Everything can be gotten at a Home Depot type store. If not the materials are commonly used in the building trade.
Go to this web site and check it out:
