After years of sucessful vegtables gardens I am going to try to grow big pumpkins. Having recently gotten back my soil sample results I have applied the recommended lbs. of lime to the new patch. What is the story on molasis,whats it do,when do I apply it, before the leaves and compost or on top of them? I would like to till it all in before things get to wet or freeze up but that might not be possible. Should the molasis wait for spring or be worked in now? The patch is about 22000 sq. ft.
