FINALLY I started producing females and some have set. Expecting them to put on weight as your diaries say, I race out every morning to see the same thing. I fertilized with a high potassium, have threatened and prayed over them and they ignore me. Would removing the non-producing vines help? I am suicidal. my suzy

Now, it up to the plant, the soil and good management. Mostly, it's the plant and the soil. If your soil is healthy, you're plant is happy. If your plant is happy, your pumpkin is gonna grow. If for some reason the females don't grow, the plant is just not ready to make it grow. I've seen the same on one of my plants, females will be pollinated and not grow. Then, another female on another vine grows nicely. I guess that's the way it goes with these AGs. Best to make the conditions right for growing and hope one of those females takes off! Best wishes, Greg

It will take about 6 days after pollination to see any growth. With the high temps your pollinations might not be taking. Pollinate everything that opens up but theres a better chance on days below 90 degrees for the polination to take. Don't overfertilize to try to make something happen, it will probably add to your problems.
