I have a pumpkin with a vine approximently 4 feet and i have the first female at the end of it should i polinate the female when it blooms?????

I would pollinate it and the next couple that come along. Depending on how long your growing season is you can then pick the one to keep. You'll need 60 days to reach most of your weight potential. I would like to see at least 8' of vine before pumpkin set

Well i really want to but i know i shouldn't but i think i will anyway that way i can grow my 1st pumpkin. Yea

pollinate everything now, cut later. You want to maximize your options. I'm guessing you could grow down there way past halloween if you wanted to for some reason.
