Well this is my second year growing. Last year I grew a 721.5 and 2 around 400 lbs. This year I have 9 plants on about 4000 sq ft. I have pumpkins pollinated on all plants but have been having problems burned out growing points and aborts. I have a few going that look promising.

Howdy to all nu-B's!!! I grew last year for the first time and managed 154# with generic seeds. Powdery mildew ate up my plants b-4 I even knew what it was. Doing much better this year...already a new personal best on a 906 Tanner...172# today according to the chart. Have fun y'all and grow 'em big!!!! Peace Wayne

First year for me. It's harder than it looks, but still basic gardening ( on much larger and faster scale). The worst part of this is the worry that sets in after the plants are culled down to a single fruit. The "all or nothing" aspect of it. Just knowing that a single screw up can end the season in the blink of an eye is nerve wracking.

First year for me, and despite my best efforts to drown seeds, break stems, and let dog trample plants, I may actually get a punkin, this is a lot of fun, and the people on here are the greatest

First year for ag's for me. I grew 2 115 lb. pumpkins from a package of Big Max last year and 105 the year before. I have 2 plants with fruit growing- 1 at day 9 and 4 on 1 plant under 5 days. My wife gets tired of hearing about pumpkins. Why?

First Year growing Ag's for me. I also grew Big Max last year and ended up with a 94# and a 69#. They were store bought seeds and I had no Idea what I was doing. I just drowned the plant with miracle gro once a week and Voila!! Then I found BP.com and became a student of the site all winter studying diaries and pictures, taking suggestions and requesting seeds. I got some great seeds and some good advice from some nice growers and now Have a back yard full of vines and pumpkins!!! The neighbors are watching with much interest and rumors are already going around town on what I'm feeding these things. Everybody thinks that 94# Bix max was huge last year..hehehe...they aint seen nothin yet....Dr.punkin hauler is ...in. LoL Grow em big!!!

1st year for me with the AGs - really pitiful results so far, I hope to end up with *a* pumpkin! Started w/3 plants, ground squirrels ate the leaves off all, 2 re-grew (more chicken wire added), gopher ate another, I've got 1 left! What I want to know is, why are AGs so much tastier than regular pie pumpkins?! They hardly bother those....

2 years ago I grew casper pumpkins and it was a huge success. Last year was my first year doing AGs and I failed. This year I am only growing caspers but I hope to try AGs again next year.

First year with AG's. Grew two 75lb. hybrids last year.

On July 20 I hit 225# by OTT on my best. Pollinated Jun28.
Circumference was 82". Will measure again today.

I've got 8 AG's on roughly 4000 sq feet. 3 more in the 100-150lb zone. Having a blast but wearing people's ears out that's for sure. Good luck fellow maniacs :-D

This is my first year,,, I am growing with my neice as a summer project, My first seeds were generic AG from the ebay seller,,,Although we have learned alot, we just now realize that our potential is limited. We have an OTT of 82 inches for a 20 day ... then reading on,,, i realize how little i know about this plant. But This is a thrill for both my neice and I,
and to think that with better seeds . We get to experience the same thrill next year all over again.

what a treat!
