im going crazy help!!! me and sis sprayed are plants last week on the 5 of july to be exact and we did a good job i think to good as the plants look like they have been burnt lol anyways the big prob is when out mesureing this dusk i discovered a stripped cuke beetle in a male flower so i natually went on alert and told my son to go inside the patch for me as im never doing that again so he did and was helping me inspect things all in all i pulled 10 flowers from my patch and everyone we pulled had a stripped or spotted cuke beatle in it out of lots of flowers these 10 males were the only ones with the pests. Now my question is another round of ortho and risk hurting my plants as i seem to have done when i sprayed the first time or hand pick everyday till my plants recover somewhat and spray again i would hate to hurt them as of this moment there okay but recovering so my question is what to do now its cuke beetles or spraying again by tracy who doesnt have a clue what shes doing and ends up hurting her plants again lol

That's a simple one. Sprinkle some Seven dust on your plants. Bye-Bye cuke beetles, and very little danger of harming your plants.

OK Try using 2 ounces of Feed Grade Molasses per gallon of water as a foliar spray. It we have been using this for 4 years. This year I have yet to see one of the little buggers. Although I have probably Jinxed myself for saying this.

A good cultural practice is spraying at dusk.. insure that flowers are closed so bees won't be affected. Liquid sevin works well.

When you spray keep in mind that cuke beetles love to hide inside the flowers. The flowers close up at night with the cuke beetles inside them and this has a tendency to protect them
