Within the first 12 inches of the main stem the secondaries are splitting right where they join. Is there something i can use to heal the splits?

I'm new so take this with a grain of salt (or ammonium sulfate LOL). sprinkle Captan on the split and bury each vine. Is your main vine exposed? Are these secondaries growing up and then out?

Thanks for the advice for captan. The splits are occuring on the secondaries right where they take off from the main stem at the base of the plant. Just the first two secondaries. My main vine is buried every foot or so. I heard that possible cause of the splitting may be due to foliar spraying.I spray every night, so this may be my problem. Thanks again for the advice. samdog
