Subject: Powder Mildew, And i screwed up

Where can i find a picture of powder mildew or can some one explaine it to me what it looks like i have 4 squash plants and 2 pumpkin plant i think thet have and whats the best method aslo, on my dill (dont know wich one got em from a seed dristubtor) its gowing great, but i was doin some watering and, i moved my hose and it lifted a vine up and it cracked it bout 3/4 of an inch will it be ok its at the very base and its the secondery can i through some dirt on it and be ok?

gotta define crack or split...if the vine is cracked as in half ...start training a secondary if the split is longitudinal (sic) going with the vine captan, dry and wrap..then bury...I usually get away with captan and bury..

its just a split its a lat. going along with the vine.

If it is a secondary you could terminate and bury at the split or remove it all together. If you terminate consider giving it a day above ground to heal and then bury it.

I think this is the typical markings for a hybrid plant. I do not see the crispy crunchy tell tale signs on old growth and the new growth appears to have the same markings. I bet if you tell us the variety I can find you a picture of plants that look like yours. of Course a preventative treatment program of a mild fungicide will not hurt. Because in Arkansas you must have some nasty hot warm weather.

I dont know what type the squash is its the kind you get from walmart..lol but i have 4 jack be little and just one has is it ans same as the f1 i have 5 of those thats why i think its a disease
