My patch is 30'x40' I want to try 4 plants. Can someone suggest how I should position these plants for the best use of space. Or am I crowding them in an 1100 sq ft patch?

Personally, I wouldn't put more than 2 plants in that area and that still is crowded unless you modify the vine growths.

i think 4 plants in that space is pretty tight. id personally only do 2, back to back, 4 feet apart. that leaves you with an 18x30 area for each plant.
