On the surface, yes its as crazy as saying they were portals for aliens!!!!!!!!!!!

But looking deeper into it-- it begins to make a lot of sense. It appears to me this technology (if this is somehow true) was apparently used for the construction of the pyramids, not necessarily for irrigation...

My philosophy is that, while most pebbles are indeed just pebbles, a rough diamond looks like a pebble too. In other words, the truth, when it is first discovered, isn't always brilliant like a diamond, sometimes it looks like an ordinary pebble. Its easy to dismiss a theory that is actually brilliant.

There's a lot missing in this story, so I don't know the truth. But if it was true then its pretty amazing.

I think they would have understood how a heart works. A culture obsessed with life would see the link between heart function and life and how the flow of blood could be like the flow of a river. If they had stumbled upon a ram pump while just tinkering with wats to divert river water it would have fascinated them as being similar to a heart.

*Ways. A valve is something they would use for irrigation. In a world without electricity or motors, a valve setup that acted like a heart... would have been totally mesmerizing to them.
