So, I can tell that everyone struggles with photo orientation in their diary, but are there any tricks I don't know about for getting a photo right side up? I basically have verified in a million different ways that the photo I am uploading is right side up, but there seems to be no rhyme or reason to why it works sometimes and doesn't work other times. Its not a huge deal, but I would love for my photos to be the right orientation. On the bright side, I am getting real good at rotating my head 90 degrees to the left hahah

Sorry if this is an exhausted topic. I am new, but I am sure this has been discussed plenty of times before. Thanks y'all!

I have to do a small edit (resize) every photo. This always works for me regardless of any other considerations. That might be annoying but to me its not that big a deal because most photos benefit from a slight trimming anyhow. Ive never bothered to figure it out beyond that because that works 100% of the time for me.

Crop the photo so that its dimensions are roughly the same length.

On my phone, there seems to be a default correct orientation that BP will recognize. Have to orient the camera with the buttons up (like an old school camera) when taking landscape shots.

There is a "value" that some cell phones place on the photo that orient the photo one way or another. I think when you upload to BP it removes all values and that makes the photo turn sideways and whatnot. The best thing to do is remove all extra data from the photo before uploading it.

Interesting, yeah I thought it might be something like an 'auto orientation' function within the cell, or computer. If that is true than it makes sense why doing a small edit and saving it would override that function. This has all been helpful. Fingers crossed that my next diary entry will be rightside up y'all! hah
