Trump's mob committed both insurrection and sedition. All based on the "LIE" the election was stolen from him. 5 people were murdered for what why? So enough with the whataboutism. People protesting social injustice and policing innequities.
Disparities in how police treat different groups of citizens. Burning and looting does not advance the cause and is condemned. However one side seems to think it's okay to kill for the cause and has been encouraged by Trump and his acolytes. So we enough with the whataboutism.

Our elected officials are public figures. They know their opening themselves up to public criticism and praise. As a tax paying voting American citizen. I'm entitled to that right just like everyone else is so don't take this personally. I think Trump is and will go down in history as the worst president of modern times. He did everything in his power to divide us along class and racial lines and party lines. Not to mention he's an habitual liar.

You do not think the media twisted anyone's minds? Trump has always been in favor of a healthy economy. That benefits everyone. I dont think Trump is racist. The media wanted Trump to condemn white pride. But if he is gonna condemn white pride should he also condemn gay pride, black pride, Zionism, etc? I think most white people are sick of racism. And reverse racism. I know I am. If I want to go to college I want to be judged only by my brains. As a poor white person I dont see why a poor Asian or black or Hispanic is any different than I am in terms of who should be admitted to college. If they are smarter let them go... The Proud Boys are patriotic, not racist, as far as I know (although some of its members may not be perfect angels). The media might say they are racist but I think a black or Hispanic person could the patriotic movement and be very loved and welcomed. I think the media knows this but their job is to stir up fear and hatred. Trump rightly designated the KKK as a terrorist organization.

The reporter who took that video has a far different statement than what is being stated here. They backed off because they were out numbered and the mob was getting unruly.
The Officer that was murdered was a long time out spoken Trump supporter who thought that defending the Capitol building from these people was the right thing to do. What these people did is not something anyone can defend or should try to defend.

Look at video? Not unruly. The one guy literally strolled inside. Then once inside they strolled about like they were visiting the Mall of America for the first time.

You can believe what you want to but an officer who went back to the station with no assistance then died that sou is like a heart attack, brain aneurism. If he had been wounded he would have been getting treatment at a hospital and he would have died at a hospital.

So the media is dishing out bs. (They never cease to do so.) I desperately want to believe the media genuinely cares but they dont. They always misrepresent, they always lie. It's insane. But we are powerless to change the system.

What I have noticed with you Gritty is that when the news is pleasing and fits your believes and political views your happy as a clam to not only believe what they report but also parrot the most outrageous conspiracy theories, falsehoods and one sided spin. Despite the fact that the truth on virtually any topic an easily be found, regardless of political views.

And when the news doesnt fit your narrative or better yet goes against it and reports the opposite you believe you resort to Trumpian explanations like: "fake news" or the media is lying, or its the "mainstreams media's fault"

Must be a wonderful life in where everything that sinconvenient and unpleasant is dismissed as fake and a lie.

Is that what you tell the electric company when they sent the light bill? Or when the mortgage is due? "this is fake" or " this is a liberal hoax, I'm not paying this" LOL

No my life is not pleasant. My life would be much easier if I could ignore the truth. I read both sides of it and decided that as crappy as the conspiracy sites are (sometimes they are 80% garbage) some of it makes sense. I would love to trust the mainstream media but when I take the time to research both sides I find out they are lying. It's very upsetting really. Check out infowars. I am not saying everything A.J. has ever said is true. I'm just saying you can see the other side of the discussion. If you love censorship then press the ignore button. Censor me.

Gritty, to me its not the main stream media, its just the media. They have been there longer then conservative outlets, much longer in some cases.

It wasn't until some conservatives felt but hurt and ignored, that a whole cable news network had be created to serve the views of republicans and conservatives alike, and unfortunately conservative news outlets thrive on a fake patriotism and nationalism that makes me itch. Its so over the top and fake that I trouble believing people believe them, but hey, here we are.

What makes my perspective unique is that I grew up in Europe. And wen I watched fox news for the very first time instantly the cheap propaganda stood out to me like a sore thumb, and I could not believe people would go for this nonsense. Now about 15 years later I know that outlets like fox actually form the views of many Americans on the world. That's sad, because the last 4 year its been almost like Russian state media.

You can state what you believe is true, and I can state my opinion on that.

When I read your posting I'm not able to see any the research you claim you do, instead I see you like to parrot pretty much the standard main stream conservative propaganda that most of conservatives voters seem to fall for.

The hyperbole and incendiary narrative on the right from the last 6 month has led to something very un-American. It wasn't patriotic, it wasn't a revolution. It was a big mistake.

A here you are, still claiming that the press is lying, but not a word about your President, not a word about the ones who committed the real crimes.

Make sure your angry about the right things.

Luke, you know my background. Why is it I was unaware of the murdered cops in Baton Rouge and in Dallas? Here, there were a few days of coverage on the riots in Minnisota. I don’t recall any of the mayhem that occurred in other cities. Anyone who thinks BLM marches don’t have a criminal element embedded is kidding themselves. There are non violent people as well, just like the many at the Trump rallies. You’re also kidding yourself if you think that Antifa caused all the carnage at the Capitol. We all know that Trump supporters were among the ones who broke inside. Just look at the arrests including the horn guy.
Interesting sidebar- I texted my friend during the riots which simply said “ I think I hate him”. He replied with the longest text I ever received mostly condemning me for not condemning BLM violence. It struck me why he went there. Obviously we are getting our info from different sources. It became a little heated, but we’re still friends. Morale of the story........maybe some of us are a little too close to see the other point of view.

I dig the first four paragraphs. The last four paragraphs seem to be a little... detached? I dont think anyone wants this to get further off topic. Let me just say this I am not angry. You would be correct to say am upset, or disappointed. But the psychoanalysis thing isnt really necessary. I'm just looking for facts online I'm never looking for emotion lol. But an occasional laugh is good. My kids mom wants my kids to be with a chimo rather than with me so I'm saving my emotions for the day they get hurt.
