In case anyone is interested, I have added some posts to my diary concerning composting with worms (vermicomposting). I am by no means an expert on the subject, but hopefully someone can learn a bit, and maybe even provide some pointers. I will try to keep it updated, and provide some useful information for those that have wondered what it's all about. I would appreciate any thoughts you may have on the topic. Thanks

Here is an interesting question. If you read my diary, you will note that there was a lot of water in the bin. I began reworking it by removing the bedding/castings from one end of the bin then tippinp it up slightly to allow the water to drain to that end. I have so far retrieved over half a quart of the very dark liquid. (Note to self, buy the wife a new turkey baster before she realizes what I have done with the old one...) I nearly made a huge mistake and dumped the stuff out in the yard, but I thought, HEY! This is probably some of the most potent compost tea ever made! So, my question is this: I will have over a quart of this stuff. A pic will be posted in my diary in the morning, since the wife has taken the digi cam to a Neal McCoy concert (whew, she never saw the turkey baster). The liquid is nearly black, and is thicker than water. It actually coats the inside of the mason jar I have it in with a bronze tint when I swirl it around. Should I save it in the sealed mason jar for spring? Dilute it and spray it on the patch now? Mix it with some warm bourbon for a nice hot toddy? If I dilute it, how much should I dilute it? This stuff looks awefully strong. If you recommend a toddy, should I add cinnamon or mint?

This living biologically active grow juice...Put it on diluted only to aid in even distribution over your entire patch. Put a tablespoon full in a cup of water and treat your houseplants too.

I have a worm farm at home made out of an old bath lifted off the ground all you have to do is put a bucket under the old plug hole and collect all the run off recommended dilution is 20/1 but i use it straight on all things and nothing died yet plants love it especially lettuce and tomato and give alot to the pumpkins as well
