How safe and at what rate would you be applying this stuff?
I see other people useing 0-0-60 but I think thats a bit high in potash

I do not advocate extreme rates for what I think are obvious reasons, not the least of which:
I sell fertilizer for a living. If I were to cause someone to make a season ending split, they'd hate & speak poorly of me forever. So the old "ask me no questions, I'll tell you no lies" comes into play here.
I think a lot of growers feel this way too. That or perhaps folks don't like sharing their hard earned "secrets". LOL
I spoke at length with a gentleman at Niagara this past March. He's from Spanish Ontario where he has 30 days to grow a fruit from 0-900 lbs. To make 30 lbs per day, he tried mixing as much as 5 lbs of 0-0-60 in 100 gallons of water & delivered it to his main plant every week. That's 3 lbs of actual K2O. Too much for a week. He blew up quite a few fruit this way.
It was unclear by the time we left for home if he would even use 0-0-60 & if he did, the rates we discuss were more like a half pound per week. That's quite a reduction.
I guess unless a "Hitter" comes clean & prescribes a treatment protocol & is growing on soils like yours in an environment like yours, it's going to be a "school of hard knocks" thing for a while.
The best bet is to work with other experienced area growers. Also use sound soil test data & an area agronomist or soil scientist & use their guidence. Tissue Nutrient test data is very handy to have at your disposal when making these decisions.

I have found some granular 0-0-50 sulphate of potash. When to apply is my question. I have been using 15-15-30 the past two weeks in moderate amounts every few days.

Thanks tremor, so if i followed directions right, this stuff should cause the fruit to mature early right. Is 0 0 62 is the same as 0 0 60? I have 50 gallon drums i have set up for my watering system, how much would u apply for 50 gallons of water, and how many times a week, if using the 0 0 60.
Thanks tremor

granular takes to long to brake down unless you have warm weather and the soil is moist. I talked to a guy at a local company that sells fert to farmers and i asked him about the 46 0 0 at the time when i was going to put it on, and he said it would disolve fast in nice warm conditions with moist soil. It would take long to dissolve. He also said that if u put it in the ground and go back to check it in a day or two, you would hardly notice it.

I think a lot of people are starting to call 0-0 60, "fruit stop" ... and are staying away from it.
if i was going to use it I would go with smaller more frequent doses.... same with the 15-15-30. there is nothing more frustrating that trying to give a re-start kick to a slowing fruit and have it stop completely.

Timed right & applied correctly, 0-0-60 helps fruit grow.
Folks who call it "fruit stop" have had a bad experience related to timing & rate & need to accept the results for their own actions & not blame the tool they used.
Are all hammers bad if one caprenter has a sore thumb?

0-0-60 & 0-0-62 are the same.
Granular ferts might dissolve in drums. But TBO asked for soluble. That's what I posted.
Now I know why Hitters avoid this subject. LOL
TBO, Call Glen Boyd at 800-321-5325. He'll have it shipped to you.
Privately email me & we'll try to devise a plan that won't ruin your year.

I do recall seeing a pumpkin at the Ohio weigh-off with a nice sledgehammer head "brand" on it. Question is: Which is most dangerous this time of year; 0-0-60, 15-15-30, or the sledge?????
