Well between Yesterday and Today I now have 3 620 Boyton Male Flowers and 2 1178 L Wentzell Flowers in small vases filled with water. They are being kept cool and in the dark.
They were going to Open Today/ Tomouro mourning hours i cut them just to save them for Pollen in case there isnt a male ready the day i need to pollinate.
My Question is How long will the pollen last in the closed flower while being kept in a cool dark fridge?
my females probably wont open for at least another 7-12 days thats why I am asking
thanks Dave.
P.S the night before the female opens do i take these flowers out of fridge and place them in a warm area so they are open by next mourning or can i simply just peel the closed flower away to get easy acess at the stored pollen.

I can't imagine the pollen in those males to stay viable 7-12 days. It's best to cut and fridge just several days away from pollination, the night before is preferable for collecting males....you should have some.

Pollinated one female from a couple males cut the day before and kept refrigerated overnite. The pollen readily shook free with couple loving taps ! In the past it seems the pollen gets clumpy after couple days in the fridg? Good luck!
