Hello Fellow growers, what are you using to warm your water? I hear many use tanks to vent chlorine and heat, I don't have the room or the luxury. Ideas and thoughts other than purchasing a water heater listed here. TIA!

black barrels do a nice job heating water... hide them with some attractive landscaping if your neighbors are the type who object to 'junk'

I use black plastic garbage cans. I add a little humic/fulvic acid to darken the water to heat it up as well as feeding nutrients.

In Utah several of us use those ondemand heaters to warm the water, they work great and will bring water from 40's up into 70's easily. Make sure the one you get will provide enough how water, if they won't produce at least 3 gpm of warm water won't work for us.

250 gallon tote filled with community water and let to warm 24 hours or more before use. Water from our tap is 52 degrees year round and I like it to be at least ambient air temperatures when I apply it.

No need (in my opinion) to use a water heater as the water naturally heats up in the tank before use.

I spray painted my 250 tote black. The water warms faster and you don't get algae growing near as bad.

Haha, No Advertisement Pal2, after reading the specs I found out I dont even have enough power available. Thanks for all input, this is great! Going to get a black trash can, Thanks, good call on the Camo, ill do the same.

Ha I deliberately spray my tanks white to keep the water cool! Black first to stop algae, then white on top to reflect the sun. Cooler water holds more O2. Anybody who's done hydroponics can see the benefits that O2 has in water for the roots. I'd rather my roots had plenty of O2 with cool water (note that's cool, not cold ie about 60-70F), than warm water not much O2.
