It’s been very cloudy in my portion of Kentucky. This may be the cause of my slow sendaries this year. Is there a fertilization cure?

I think cool cloudy days contribute to this.

I think so too. The last few days here been cloudy misty mid 50s for a high, 3 plants the secondaries and main have slowed to an almost standstill. Except for one plant I just can’t figure it out.

Go to the general discussion board and see my post to Henry. After he checked that link out , he talked to woody and did some fertilizing (Henry's diary) for that problem. Check with pumpconn and woody as to why they think this might work. Also look up phosphorus effects or side effects on vine growth if you wish. Remember , do you own due diligence because I am not a rocket scientist , I just remember what I read on this site. (finding it again is the hard part)

Like spudder said, it works. We're always cold and cloudy here on the coast and phosphorous is a big part of our early feedings. My secondaries are slow but growing well! We've seen the sun twice in 6 weeks.

Good info guys, thanks. I’ve got some adjustments to make.

Rich, I just started rotating TKO and Monopotassium phosphate (MPK) both drenching and foliar feeding and my secondaries right now are exploding with growth.

I’m spoon feeding, but I find some extra phosphorus and potassium really provides the plants the extra boost it needs to send out aggressive rooting along with those secondaries. H
