I have gotten conflicting advice on this subject. My atlantic giants are doing good and spreading great. But when the fruit sets how long after should I start applying the potassium. And how much. Ive heard horror stories about adding too much.

What does your soil test say? otherwise you are just salting your food before you taste what it needs. Potassium sulfate needs some time to break down and become available.

you Should post a pic of the test results..I’m not enough of an expert to know what 74 is...and this is a pretty busy time for the guys that probably do know what it means...I ve used western labs in pharmacy Idaho to test soil for these monsters to n the past ..they give you recommendations on how much of what to put in the ground in the spring...if potassium is low in early spring you add potassium sulphate...kelp meal is a great source as well...in-season if your supplementing 0-0-50 I would say no more than an 1/8 teaspoon per gallon...but when it comes to stuff that doesn’t have directions for weekly feeding, you really should know what the plant really needs..if you tissue test through western labs, that will show you what the plant is lacking or excessing and will give you recommendations on how to correct...hope that helps a little...good luck
