I’ve used Kmag for many years but wondered from other experienced growers who also use it, when and how often to apply. My soil test result is recommending potassium, magnesium and Sulphur, which Kmag has.
Labels says “Neutral in pH, K-Mag GRANULAR does not contribute to additional soil acidity. It is in a water soluble sulfate form making it a feeding site of readily available nutrients for crops. And, because of its crystalline nature, K-Mag GRANULAR dissolves gradually throughout the growing season, providing a season-long source of nutrients.”
Should I split my application of Kmag and apply 1/2 now and 1/2 later to ensure the nutrients are there for the push in August and September?
Ive usually added kmag at tilling time, then again in June when the plant is actively vining and plant is rapidly growing. Keep it the same, or tweak my application?
Thanks/Glenn
