How long after applying a water soluble 20-20-20 fertilizer would it take to notice nitrogen burn on a ~4 week old plant that's in the ground? I don't have any burns yet and it's been been since Monday June 4th since applying some. I don't think I'm gonna have any either but was just curious how long it takes before the plant starts to show any burning in the leaves. I have 3 plants and only put it on one just to be safe and don't know when I should feel confident that it's ok to apply the same amount on the other ones. Thanks!

I mixed Jack's 20-20-20 at 1/4 c fertilizer to 1 gallon of water. Applied the gallon mixture to the ground around the plant then watered it in being careful not to get it on the leaves then sprayed them off at the end just on case.

Jacks 20-20-20 label says 1 tablespoon per gallon gives a solution of 750 ppm and is the highest recommended mixture. 1/4 cup per gallon seems pretty excessive to me, and I’d mix as per the recommendations to avoid issues like burning.

If I'm not mistaking, a fertilizer burn on leaves will show up pretty quick, like the next day

Wayer on the leaves on a hot day in the hoops can cause burn also its best not to put nothing on the leaves when it's warm out. If it's 80 outside then there's a good chance it maybe over 100 in the hoop. Today it's 80 degrees here thermometer says 106 in the hoop.

Overwater the plant to leach out the fertilizer. You applied 4 times as much as recommnended
