This is HUGE! You may not be getting anything near what you thought you were paying for when you read the label. Up until now, companies have been able to make whatever biological claims they wanted without any oversight.

Email me at tad@kisorganics.com if you want to results.
Advanced Nutrient Piranha scored "not detectable" on both pseudomonas spp. and trichoderma spp. though they claimed 125,000 cfu/ml and 55,500,000 cfu/ml respectively.

This is a good reason to support companies that share their test results like Ron Wallace and his WOW Pumpkin Pro

Does Extreme Gardening give a guarantee on their Mycos? I couldn't find on the website and I already threw my package out and put in another container.

From my email exchange with Matt Haynes at the ODA.
"Straight RTI product is looking OK when they guarantee propagules and not spores. Not sure about re-pack versions.
The challenge with finding Glomus is pulling the propagules (spores + root fragments + hyphae) out of the carrier ~ Organic carriers (e.g. potting media) can be tough. Liquids and mineral carriers (clay, talc, etc.) are easier. "

I'm looking at the results for Dr. Earth and the label guarantee is given in prop/cc while the lab analysis is given in cfu/g. Is the Dr. Earth product meeting the label guarantee?

Thanks again for the good work Tad. I have had my suspicions for sometime now. I have tried to verify products I have used with a microscope but I am not a biologist and have little Idea of what I am seeing anyway. So, is the bottom line here that we rely on ACT and not label claims? When I make ACT I can really see the life moving about in it.
