Once transplanted to hoop houses how much and often should young plants be getting watered? Also should I be adding anything at the early stages during watering?

Water when soil is dry. Never follow a forumula. Some might say every two or three days but for me this year its everyday so far this week. As for what to feed them, not much if anything, if u do neptunes would be ok or 1/8th strenght what u do have. They will be slow as its still cool outside dont be tempted to push em as it will do more harm than good. I know sometimes it looks like they arent moving but be patient let them do their thing and avoid the over love.

What bv2 said. A small seedling doesn't need much-over fertilizing/watering wont help. Its all about soil temperature to help the plant develop.

I third that motion. The soil just needs to be DAMP and the soil should easily provide what the young plant needs as it begins development. I will use a shot of essentials once every week if it needs water.

What might occur if you overwater at this stage?

If your soil is VERY well drained, your baby pumpkin should be fine. If your soil has clay and holds water, your pumpkin could drown. Roots need oxygen, water logged soil doesn't have any. Roots can extract water that is held in the soil, it's a water savings account. When it's dry, time to make a deposit. Overwatering is more harmful and more likely than under watering. I overwatered last year trying to cool my plant, it died. :(

I'm no pro here, but I believe i used to overwater many years ago. I believe overwatering at this early stage kept the roots very shallow and they never had to search for water. My plants flagged all the time during the heat of the day and perked back up in the evening. I know for a fact they were not underwatered......but definately overwatered.
