I am getting ready to get some fertilizers to have for when the growing season begins. Doing some research, there are thousands of different fertilizers and I am not 100% sure of which to get. What fertilizers should I have on hand and which ones should I pass on?

The best fertilizer will be the one that the plant can most effectively utilize during its specific stage of plant growth..beyond that , I have no idea

A soil test will let you know what you need, then you can pick fertilizers based on their analysis. One suggestion for potassium is to avoid using too much potassium chloride or muriate of potash. A little won't hurt if your salt is low, in fact I will use just a little myself this year. But too much will lead to a build-up of chloride in your soil. Sulfate of potash is better
