For an upcoming presentation, I'm hoping to obtain a photo of a large pumpkin growing in a small space...ie garden box, raised bed, pot, rooftop garden, apartment balcony, 200 sqft patch, etc. The whackier the better. The point I'm going for is that you don't need a huge space to grow a giant. If you have any photos that you would allow me to use, please post a link here or email me a pic at isellutah@gmail.com

Thanks in advance for all your help. I love this community.

Wow I hadn't seen that before. That's inspirational for us small patch guys.

And it sure takes away an excuse!

I emailed Alex about it years ago, he did say it had full sun in between the 2 buildings.

I don't get the pounds Darren? Are they all exaggerated weights? Alex really grew 700lb+ in just 100 sq feet.

LB grew her 817 in under 100 sqft (pic here: http://www.bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryViewOne.asp?eid=227006). She probably has some patch/plant shots somewhere in her diary.

here is a great example of getting the most out of a small area! http://www.bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryViewOne.asp?eid=233500
Many examples of different sizes and shaped plants and the resultant weights.

5 pumpkins totaling 3769 lbs in 1381 sq ft (less than many people use for 2 plants and not that much more than some use for 1)
Great JOB Darren!
