Having now gotten to experience the joys of foaming stump, any knowledge on watering here forward? I think I've got it licked, 2 days with dry stumps so far. No seeping, no foam ever showed up, but I did get a lovely hue of blue slime on one. Grrr. So, got them all dried up now. In regards to watering here forward, what's rule of thumb? Wait till they show signs of wilting before watering, and of course watching the weather to make sure I don't water when rain is expected? Little help with this from those who have battled it, or even read about it would be great. Thanks in advance.

Keep the stump area dry, make a cover for it. Good luck, been there done that. Sometimes the foaming crud will move down the main vine, you will see secondarys start to die if that is the case.

Don't water by the stump at all. Keep in mind the roots from your stump travel several feet in all directions. Think of it as a tree. you wouldnt water it at the stump. there is more benefit further away.
