Hi !
I had a great season this year, but I want to prepare my patch MUCH better than last year, so...
WHAT SHOULD I ADD AND HOW MUCH LBS PER PLANT ???And when should I do this : in winter, in october,...
Do I have to add compost and cow manure ?
Also add some leaves ? Which other fertilizers should I add before winter ? ?

Thank you very much !

How large will your patch be next year? Yes, start adding manure this fall.

I will be growing 3 pumpkins next year, 1 on a small patch , size doesnt't matter.
The other 2 patches are 970 f² and 1700 f²
So, what and how much do I have to add ?

Thanks in advance,
BYE.

First couple of years you can add up to six inches of manures and compost. After that keep an eye on the total test results as some areas might even suggest you back off the manures at some point. Yes to much is indeed possible.

Learning about ballanced natural soils is indeed a learning experience. One that has a noble cause. Time and observation are on your side. Showing results here and asking for comments is not to difficult. Andy Wolf, Stephen and Rocky are hot into it on another thread. We need to learn about ratios too! Read and read while you are learning.
