Especially in cool or cold springs water only with luke warm water. Avoid at all costs taking water directly from an outdoor faucet and directly using it to water transplants while with in hoops. Small steps like these help keep as much warmth in root zone as possible for nitrogen uptake.

Amen to that, brother. Warm water, especially during the time in the hoop house, is one of the Wallace commandments for growing them big.

Warm water(preheated in barrels, tanks, etc.)is preferable all season long.

Would you bathe your baby in cold water?

Thanks, Shazzy.

You bet, I always keep my watering cans full and inside the hoophouse to get the water warmed for the plants.

Good tip shazzy...
